[she can grab his hand with her good one and he immediately sort of crumples on the floor like a house of cards while holding her hand.]

...please be okay. [it's like. mumbled. but he's so unhappy with the state of lup, god.]

[ oh, buddy. she tugs him a little closer, wriggling just enough away from taako to half hug sora.

tiredly: ]

S'okay, baby. I've got a hit point or two left. I'm not going anywhere.

[not long after sora sits, a cat immediately approaches and rubs at lup's wrist, purring worriedly and almost aggressively like it's trying to heal her itself.

the half-hug is nice though and he'll return the gesture as best as he can.]

I know, but...it looks bad, Ru. I waited for you to come back all day and I still didn't think it'd be like this.

[ ahhhh, he waited all day, and she frowns at that, petting the poor cat. ]

Didn't mean to ditch you. [ she sighs. ] I got caught up in making sure Alphinaud didn't trip over his own feet.

[ that's mostly teasing. he did pretty good. ]

Not really ditching if you weren't planning to disappear, right? [the cat makes a curious noise.] You all made it out in one piece so...I'm grateful for that much.

Mmmm. [ she hums out, slow. ] Are you okay? Taking it easy.

Yeah. I'm fine, it's not a big deal. This is nothing compared to what just happened.

[ her weasel, who is curled up with taako's mongoose, chitters in his direction. ]

Well, it's no, uh. You know. [ she waves her bandaged hand. ] But it's still a thing.

[he makes a face at the weasel.]

...I'm alright. I mean it. I was supposed to train with Clementine today but we had to reschedule, so...I have time to heal better.

[evocationary]

Good. [ she just takes his hand and holds it. ]

Don't push it. [ says lup, who definitely pushed it ]

Do you really get to be saying that to me right now? [he will take the hand-holding though.]

I would say good, but I feel bad about that so...[he just leans his head against the couch and holds her hand.] I'm just really glad you got out of there alive.

[ she pets his hand gently with her thumb. ]

You can't get rid of me that easily. [ she murmurs. ] I'm okay, Sora.

Yeah, well, you scared me. Both of you. [he mumbles into the couch but he keeps holding her hand anyway as the cat dream eater kneads its paws into the floor.] Also that's supposed to be my line to you.
