[even if she sounds cynical and even if her anger is apparent he doesn't let himself back down. instead, his hold on her is a little tighter as if it will get his words to sink in further and he shakes his head.]
No it's not. A goal isn't an empty promise at all. Even if you don't know where to start or how, just knowing what your destination is will be enough. If you let your heart guide you...you'll know. So even if I don't understand why, I know it's something that should be changed because it's hurting you.
Every step is another step closer to making things right. Even if it doesn't feel like it.
suddenly izumo has all the strength and vigor back that she lost as she was crying because without much warning she'll push herself onto her knees and wrench herself free just enough so she can slap sora across the face with an open palm.
her eyes are red, her face tear stained and blotchy from all of her crying, and honestly...is just a mess but she doesn't care. every word he said, while being filled with good intentions, is the exact opposite of what she'd ever want to hear. ]

he's not sure how to react. she slaps him and he sits there, eyes wide and uncertain as he takes in her expression while hearing the words very loud and clear.
...it's been a long couple of days filled with people who have no idea what he's talking about and being completely alone. maybe it's not so surprising just how different everyone is from what he knows, and in that moment he feels exactly like he did those years ago when he first arrived in an unknown world without any idea what to do.
but. at least izumo gets what she wants because after a few long and silent moments he gets to his feet, backtracking through the room to pick up the flowers he had been grabbing in the first place. it wouldn't make sense to leave without the thing he originally came for.]
Fine. [a beat.] Sorry. [and with that he crosses the room and walks out the door without a second look back, shutting it behind him. obviously his approach needs some work, but...the message was loud and clear. see you later, izumo.]
