[ how long have they been avoiding one another since she slapped him? three or so days?? boy this is awkward and izumo will be on her bed with a towel under one foot as one does. ]
What doesn't make sense?
[ if she seems more amiable to speaking then, well, it might be because she is. he should know almost as better than anyone else she has spoken with her opinions of their situation. ]
[roughly three days. but maybe it's time to stop that. he does cast a glance at the towel under her foot and he narrows his eyes, but he decides to ask about that later.]
Any of this. How it happened, why Hajime...everything.
[ she'll sigh as he does, she doesn't need to actively see him do but she isn't fooling herself. he's going to. in response, she'll just flop back onto the bed with one of her feet still firmly pressed against the towel.
that should be obvious enough now, right? ]
How would think it happened? They didn't tell us everything.
[ her voice is a mixture of unfounded exhaustion and something between hopelessness and humor. ]
[he can already tell this is going to likely be a conversation they have to agree to disagree, but at least he seems more willing to listen this time.]
You really think they knew this was supposed to happen before we were even brought here? Or is this what we're supposed to do to get that wish?
[ sora always ends up seeing her nastier side and it's unfair. though, she's not really in the mood to argue. ]
No, I don't think they really knew about this. I think about what really drew all of us together like this.
The story that they knew verses— [ she raises her arms into the air and makes a grand gesture with them. ]—this is one that was likely fed to them by someone else.
[ ... ]
Something else?
[ she is not used to this sort of thing but she is aware of how much ""fun"" those of immense power like to indulge in. ]
Fox said that the Realm's connected to all of our worlds but also exists in its own space. Nothing says it doesn't exist as its own being, too. Plus we know that the Leaders lost their memories of everything before coming here. If the Realm didn't tell them any of this would happen, there was no risk of them telling us before it was time.
[he does not want to believe this is on purpose!!!!]
See, I said the same thing and nobody took me seriously! [he! mentioned how weird that last rule was???? except he didn't think it would change to murder.]
...okay. Let's pretend that this is the truth and this is something that was supposed to happen. What are we supposed to do now? Besides find out what really happened to Hajime.
[ but they never talked about that and that's funny. ]
The quick answer would be to say figure out what's behind all of this, but we don't know where to look for any of that. But maybe figuring out what happened to Hajime might shed light on something.
[ hmmm. ]
Perhaps there are clues here that we haven't thought to look for.
[ because i'm pickin favorites, kind of, when she lifts her foot up for sora to see in lieu of a verbal answer—the puncture wound is definitely (deep enough) there but it seems to been treated. (there is a bloody blotch on the towel though. gross.)
swelling not as bad as one could expect—ice—and an earnest level of care to clean and address the would was done. really, the only thing she was missing was it being properly dressed.
even with that, somewhere there might be some ""bandages"" lying around her. rip that person's work. ]
[the non-verbal answer doesn't entirely surprise him either, but he seems a little pleased to see it's been taken care of even if she's not wearing the faux-bandages.]
Good. [...] Who'd you go with? Did you guys find anything else?
It's really, really important to Hajime. [he actually looks a little worried about that, too.] I'm glad she found it after we got here, but what was it doing over by the river? Her body was found in the woods.
[? ? ?
also he will not explain to what degree it's important at the moment but hm.]
[ it's fine. sometimes find someone's treasure and that's about all you need to know about it. izumo will be fine with knowing that it's super important to hajime. ]
Wait—her body was in the woods?
[ people....found her body? ]
Do you know what condition it was in? You can know a lot about what happened.
Yeah. Hilda, Claude and I were in one part of the woods and another group went the other way I guess. Hilda split up from me and Claude while we were fighting with a squirrel but she came back when she saw the body.
I didn't get a look myself, but I talked to someone else from that group later. She said that they followed their trail into the woods and found a piece of cloth down the path. A squirrel stole it and it ran into us instead, but when they went to chase it they found Hajime. She also said something about a broken stick?
[mmm...] Someone else told me that there was cereal and some hair in the planetarium, too. So that's already three different places things went wrong, if we're counting the river. Who knows what else we're missing?
That one sounds more likely, but there's one thing I don't understand. How did she get outside in the first place? [sora's not, like, exceptionally intelligent but his real strength is talking to people enough that they trust him.] From what I've heard from pretty much everybody, all of the doors locked last night.
[ no!!! i'm threading a cute thing and i can't be stopped. My Food. ]
If she was outside then she was outside. [ facts are facts. ] The real question becomes, how did someone leave and come back inside? I have a feeling that we all must have fallen asleep at the same time.
[ but did not wake up at the same time. ]
The other question is—if we find out that there wasn't a struggle, then who would she have trusted enough to follow them into a place where they could kill her?
[ the "why" might be tied into that so she doesn't frame it. ]

Mm. Right. So let's think about what we already know. [...] Did you step on evidence?
[his impression of izumo is that she's not likely to be clumsy and hurt herself, so it makes more sense this was an accident of some kind.]
no subject
If glass is considered to be evidence. I couldn't find it anything else in the river with it.
[ just the fuckin glass in her foot. ]

I was with Mob and Clementine.
[ hmmmm. ]
Mob found a headband and Clementine found a notebook of sorts. I didn't get a good look at it.
no subject
...do you remember if it was white? Like this big? [he draws a small square with his hands about the size of the notebook in question.]

Under the assumption that we haven't missed anything— she'd start out at the planetarium, then move to the river, and end up in the woods.
[ hmmm but then the notebook? ]
Or, she's start off at the planetarium then be taken to the woods where her things were discarded in the river.
