[ because i've failed to note this earlier but she has noticeable sores (uclers??) on the lower part of her face and hands. not that she's making any point to draw attention to any of it and is instead just...unwinding. yeah. ]

[then again he has spent a long time rooming with a duck and a dog, so whatever. roommates are roommates. he's giving those ulcers a cursory glance and he wants to ask but he's afraid of losing the slow progress they're making here. it can wait.] Besides, it's your room, too. I haven't asked anybody else yet. I don't even know if we all get the same channels. I was trying to see if I could make out any sort of picture in the static but I've got nothing.

It couldn't hurt just in case. If we're not meeting with those people who messaged us until later, we have a lot of time to find things out for ourselves.

No. [and it's so sudden and assured it's something he's thought about today.] But trying to find anything is better than sitting and waiting while doing nothing. That way I know just what to ask them when we meet them.

We have to think that they won't and really listen to them when they come. It's the only way we're going to know what's real and what's not.
