Well first of all he's not even the least bit sorry he killed both Hajime and Pikachu. [put your salt away, you big baby.]

...he told me he was asked to kill Hajime. That's why he did it. He wouldn't say who, just that it had to be her. If his leader's the one who could tell the Realm to lock us up and knock us out, then...his leader's probably the one who asked. Right?

But I don't know why.

I'm not surprised. [ virid did not seem like the kind of kid to regret any sort of murder. ]

Yeah. Yeah, that tracks? The NPC seemed... pretty sure. But that doesn't really tell us why the leader did. Or if they're going to do it again, or what they're offering.

And none of them can tell us who is on whose team, whether they're removed or not.

That wasn't all he said either. I asked him a little more and he said he was asked, and he didn't really disagree with the reasons why he was being asked. He said that if what he was told was true, we should be worried about a different enemy.

I couldn't get much else out of him after that, but what do you think that's all about? What enemy? And if his leader knew, then why wouldn't they tell the others?

[ squint. ] I don't know. It kind of makes me want to not trust any of them, though. The NPCs, I mean, if they're just gonna order hits on people.

The one I talked to figures it's going to happen again. But they also said the worst might have already been done - which makes me think that basically we just, uh. Watched a precedent get set in front of us.

I still think it's something with the Realm itself. It was already here before the leaders came, and they don't remember anything before that. I'm worried they agreed to something they don't even know they agreed to.

[this is bullshit, basically.] Maybe we did. I don't want to lose more people and have this happen again, but...we do have to think about if it does. I don't think that means we shouldn't trust the leaders though. We don't know what else might be involved, and just because one of them did this doesn't mean the others will.

[ hm. she is a little sharper than she means to be with that. a pause. ]

I don't either. And that includes them. [...but he hunches his shoulders a little.] I'm not asking you to completely trust them. Just keep an open mind until we get a better idea what's happening. I want to trust them because I think they could use the help whether they want to admit it or not.

Uh, punch good, thoughts bad. That's what a monk is. [ a monk is when flurry makes jokes about her other characters icly, sora ] I only have like 45 hit points, I'm not exactly what you'd call sturdy.

A staff might work, though. Maybe. If I'm not going up against a sword.

Ohh. [i hate you. also i hate that he's now just going to think of hercules as a monk.] You could always boost your stamina and stuff, can't you? Everyone can get stronger.

If the staff was made of something sturdy you might be okay. Swordfighting is a lot of strikes but if you get good at blocking you can counterattack. [now he's just saying words.] I wonder if I could teach you.

That sounds like it'd be pretty disgusting to drink but I meant train a little to get stronger in another...class?

Okay, look, I didn't know I was going to be a dead wizard when I made it. [ obviously!!! ] It was a project I got really into while we were world hopping. It's called an umbra staff. I mostly just wanted to see if I could do it, and I did.

This was, uh, something like... thirty years before I died.

[that makes a little more sense to him. sometimes you just want to do things to prove to yourself that you can, but this still sounds like there's a lot of missing context. he's not sure he wants to ask (or, no, he does) but he figures it's maybe best not to ask lup too much about it.]

...is the one that Taako has the same one but from a different time? [it's about the most calm way he can ask what he wants to ask. he's very highly concerned that lup's own weapon ate her.]
