["I know the worlds needed our help, and that I had a responsibility as a Keyblade wielder. And I know that if we didn't stop Xehanort and if we didn't help all of those people, everything would have gone wrong."
it may provide some context, because while he was upset about finding his friends like this, now he looks equal parts angry and alarmed.]
He's the one who wanted to forge the x-blade. He--[...you know. it's faster just to say this in a language lup knows.] He was our BBEG. He used the x-blade to open Kingdom Hearts, which is the heart of all worlds. He said that by sending it into darkness, it'd trigger a purge of all of the worlds to destroy them and start all of them all over again so he could control the people of those worlds.
I know we beat him. I know that. I watched him--["I watched him die" is what he nearly says, but he stops.] He lost against us, but we always thought we beat other versions of him, too. He kept coming back because he created vessels of himself. We beat all of them, too, but...
...I dunno. He walked into that office and I kind of freaked out.
[he's at least holding his legs out so she can do that.]
It was weird...it looked like Xehanort. But then it changed to some guy Alex knew. But then it changed to this huge monster. It had all of these arms and stuff coming out of the back of it and the sky was turning red outside, but then Xehanort said..."do you believe you can change destiny?"
[...] That's what he wanted, you know? To control destiny of the worlds.
Alex and I started heading for the door to the helicopter pad, but he kept talking. "Time has already been written. There's nothing you can do, is there? Except try, try again. But you'll never make it."
So I led him outside. Alex escaped to a higher platform and Xehanort or whoever had his own sword. She was trying to find a way for us to get out of there and the meteor was coming right at us. So I did what I had to do.
[he fought. he looks at his burnt arm.] ...I blocked the sword, but not the tentacle that was covered in that same slime from all over the place. It still hurts. But when I blocked and hit his sword, everything froze. Time, the meteor, everything. And he said "not yet. But remember, this is your last chance."
...my head started hurting really bad after that and I guess I passed out. I don't know how we got there, but the next thing I knew I woke up inside one of those test tubes and Blanca and Shiro were trying to break us out while we were in this mansion.
[ well, all of that sucks, and lup hates to hear it. she digs around in her red robe, trying to find something - and then pulls out the little gift bag from the very first day, dumps out the pill, and hands it to him. ]
Take this. [ she says, first off. ] Blanca mentioned they found the two of you in test tubes.
[ a pause. ] Time hasn't been written. That's not how it works.
Uh huh...Blanca was already bleeding when they found us, but they broke us out. We didn't have time to ask questions because the mansion was burning so we ran for it. [which explains the rest of the burns and the ash and smoke. he would question the pill but he figures it's probably safe, so he'll take it and hold onto it.]
...it's possible time means something else. [...] I asked Swan why space was here, and they said it's a memory of a world that was disturbed by the nova. I don't...everything felt so real, so how do we know it wasn't?
[ she knows it's safe because her stupid brother just downed it the first day god
she also twitches a bit at the mention of the ash and smoke... she's still got soot all over her sleeve from where she wiped blanca's face off. ]
Okay, but how do you know it was? [ she says, firmly. ] We don't know either way. All I'm seeing is we're just - nova factories. Nova comes from strong emotions, it's attracted to people - what's the best way to get strong emotions?
[taako's a hero to us all. anyway, yeah, she has a great point. he has no way of knowing it was real, but he's still stuck on not knowing for sure it wasn't. how do you know what's real?
how do you keep what's yours?
they're questions he has but he doesn't have a voice for them, so he keeps a grip on the sword and just kind of nods. yeah. he's listening. that makes all kinds of sense.]
[ there's a silence, as she finishes wrapping his legs. once she's finished, she moves to sit next to him, arm to arm. brings her knees up to her chest and wraps her arms around them, watching him. ]
Stay with me and Taako tonight. [ she says, finally. ]
[he should maybe take the painkiller instead of holding it in his hand, but eh. he's not sure what to make of the way her shoulders relax but he doesn't point it out. rather, he's trying to worm his way a little closer without being obvious about it.]
[ she says, wryly. she also doesn't miss him snuggling closer, and she makes a big show of sighing heavily before bringing her arm up and around his shoulders. ]
Usually do. [he'll just point that out despite the varying degrees of that being true. he does tend to comply for lup easier than most people however. he'll also take his rightful place half-buried in her shoulder.]
...I feel like even if it wasn't real, it was trying to tell us something. I just can't figure out what it is yet.
A talk I had with mine. About what we can and can't tell each other. [...he would tilt his head curiously but he's comfy here given the fact at some point his eyes closed.] What'd yours have to say?
[thank god someone's nice to him when it's not affection week.]
...none of that matches what mine said to me at all. Mine said I could tell people on my own team and one or two people outside of that, but they made it sound like they meant at all, not every week.
Great! I'm glad they're telling us different things! That makes life easy!
[ she sounds exasperated. ] Technically my leader was vague about it. There was no a week from mine but they also refused to be much clearer than one, maybe two, your own team is fine, probably. But - Soo-Won's apparently said three a week. And he's testing it this week to see what happens.
In the case of yours, I've told two people outside my team, but what are they gonna do if I keep doing it? Fire me?
Maybe they're being told different things? [it's a possibility.] And you're sure Won was telling you the truth and understood what he was saying?
[it's not even that he doesn't trust soo-won, but now he has to question everything.] I don't know if they'll do anything to you, but maybe the disturbance will rebel or something.

I - sure, that's understandable. The boss of your campaign just appears, you freak out, that's uh, that's valid.

Hey - I have a question for you, actually.

What kind of a question?
no subject
If I asked you what your team was, would you tell me?

...I forgot to update you. [about what.] Wait, where'd that question come from?

Just a talk with my team leader, and with a few other people. [ ... ] Update me on what?

Well, mine said I wouldn't explode if I told one or two people a week what my team is. Soo-Won's said three a week. I've only done one, so.
