[sora's out and about today as usual, taking a look at the town and seeing who might be around when he spots someone familiar sitting down up ahead. with all of the confidence of a 16 year old with high hopes, he bounds over to her and waves slightly.]
Taking a break? [from what? well, she's relaxing so it seemed like a good idea to say that.]
Something like that. [taking a break from... a break, she guesses? in her lap is the PHS, which she's been fiddling with, trying to get a grip (haha) on.]
[sometimes you need a break from doing nothing at all, but he'll plop himself down next to her.]
Something like that. I was checking on things in town to see if anything's changed now that the Leaders are around. Besides the planetarium, I mean. Have you gone to see it yet?
A couple of times. [unsurprisingly he loves it.] There's a ton of constellations that I don't recognize, so it's been fun trying to figure out where they came from.
That'd make sense. There are some I've seen up close from back home, but there's still a lot of them I don't know the names of. [i. genuinely don't even know if destiny islands is considered an earth with the way kh is set up. it's fine. he's seen stars in other worlds.]
Winter must make it hard to see them in the kingdom sometimes, huh? [all the snowstorms...and darkness...]
That sounds really cool. [kind of like his island, he thinks. on the clearest nights, everything is so bright and easy to see. he regards the journal briefly, wondering what might be in it.]
I can show you some different stars I found if you want. Or I can just tell you about them. What do you think?
she doesn't scream, because she's not that kind of girl. instead, she just. stares. is she losing it? is this the Realm's punishment for her. pretending? what is going on. oh no. oh nooo.
[it sure is just sora. and also, the entire room is different! he's asleep, first of all, but since elsa's waking up first she's bound to notice their new pods and the like. but he hears her voice and he scrunches up his face, cracking an eye open as he looks.]
Huh? [a very intelligent answer. but as he seems to register what's happening he jolts in surprise, sitting up in said-pod.] Whoa. What's going on here?
[judging by the sudden bonk, that warning came a little too late and there's a whiny sort of grumble.]
We're in boxes. Okay...why are we in boxes? [he turns his head to start assessing his pod.] What does yours look like? Are all of your things with you?
Nope. [hello! he's in his box with his large cat pillow and also his riku doll and probably star-themed pjs. he also has some impressive bedhead going on.] Last thing I remember was going to sleep in my room with Izumo. In a bed. Not a box.
[mysterious...] Think the Realm did something else?
Poof. [he's just repeating it kind of curiously because that sure is what it is.] I've woken up in strange places before, but nothing really like this. What if this is a regular thing?
[are they going to just wake up with no memory of how they got places every week?]
[elsa doesn't normally go looking for sora. usually, she tries to keep a little distance between the two of them, because she's not a great liar, and she's getting increasingly unsure about what she should—and doesn't—know.
but, hey. they roomie-swapped again, and... it's strange, somewhat, not knowing what he's up to. so, when she does track him down at the port, she gives him a little wave from the shore, fully outfitted in her pirate gear now.]
[luckily for elsa, sora still doesn't think anything's really amiss. rather, he's been busy meeting everyone and he's been happy to see elsa's branching out, too. she could use friends.
he'd woken up in a new room with one bounty hunter and minus one ice queen, and while it was confusing he took it in stride. but as sora's fiddling with one of the boats by the docks he immediately brightens up upon seeing her. he's also in his pirate clothes, hat included.]
Could be. When's the last time you went sailing? [he knows arendelle has a large ship, but the question stands.]
I'm from an island, so we have a lot of boats around. But I've sailed pirate ships before, too. These guys are no match for those. [he's very confident he knows what he's doing.]
If you really want to learn, sure! I'd be happy to. [he's not nearly booksmart enough for a lot of things, but he's good with this kind of stuff.] It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Most ships are the same. Just different sizes.
No time like the present. [he finishes adjusting the sails, gesturing to the boat itself.] So let's start with some basics! [he feels pretty confident about this, and begins to point at things.]
Normal directions can get pretty confusing when you're trying to do multiple things on a ship, so there're special terms. The front of the boat is the bow. The back is the aft. Port is to the left, and starboard is to the right. Sooo if you wanted to tell your captain to steer the ship to the right, you'd say "hard to starboard!"
With a sailboat like this, you want to be going windward otherwise you're not going anywhere. Leeward is when the wind's blowing the opposite direction and it'll blow you off-course. Make sense?

...Of course, that's assuming it's not snowing. But then, any other season, we just have to look out for clouds and rain. So...
[she shrugs, good-naturedly, and withdraws a journal.]
You've been all over, at this point. Find anything interesting I should see?

It must have. I said goodnight to Bucky and Ochako, and then I woke up in a box. Poof.
I'm not sure I'm going to get used to this...
