Mayhap it is not so terribly different from the magicks you know, then; 'tis the manner one channels their aether that makes it different from other schools. It allows me to conjure sorcery to fend off fiends, yet also draw upon healing magicks to aid the injured—and oft do arcanists have familiars at their side to do as they need.
