[at some point in the first day, whenever she finds her room, izumo will find that it seems to be really quiet. perhaps she's lucked out and she has a room all to herself?

unfortunately, when she opens the door she'll see a boy sitting on the bed furthest away from the door. double-unfortunately, he's still wearing the heart-shaped headband thing and possibly has forgotten he's wearing it at all. upon hearing the door open though he turns his head to look, immediately giving her a grin.]

Hey! You must be Izumo, right? I'm Sora.

[rip.]

[ fortunately for sora, izumo has taken her aggression(?) out on the correct(?) person and she's likely to pick a fight with him from the get go. though, that's not to say that she isn't upset that she's not alone. the air around her is somber as she stands there in the doorway for a moment just staring at him. ]

You're not going to try anything funny, are you?

Huh? [what kind of a greeting is that? he isn't quite sure how to respond to that beyond utter confusion but he slowly shakes his head.] No, why? Did something already happen?

[ what happens when boys and girls share rooms? well, things don't have to happen that way but so much happened to her right now and she's just gotta get some things aligned. ]

Yeah...? [i'm in tears, she's going to be able to successfully bully him because he's too disney to even think about what she's implying.] Why?

No! I'm sixteen! [offended? also for some reason he sounds like he isn't entirely sure about that but it's FINE.] Why don't you just explain what you're talking about.

[ they're the same age?? absolutely not happening. she's rejecting this but also?? ]

[ she's entering the room but keeps to the far side opposite of him. she's watching him. ]

I don't know! I'm not the one who started this whole thing! [but he holds up his hands???] I'm not armed or perverted, so...it's fine.

[ she's just going to stare at him for a good long moment before conceding. maybe he really is that harmless. ]

If you make one wrong move, you'll regret it.

I got it. [he looks a little wary but also he's not too terrible deterred.] Did...something happen out there to bring this up?

Most boys would just get creepy about rooming with a girl. [ it isn't what he asked her but nevertheless she'll drop more of her guard as she sits on the edge of the bed. ] If this is luck, though, I'll take it.

[ because i've failed to note this earlier but she has noticeable sores (uclers??) on the lower part of her face and hands. not that she's making any point to draw attention to any of it and is instead just...unwinding. yeah. ]

Well that's stupid. [then again he has spent a long time rooming with a duck and a dog, so whatever. roommates are roommates. he's giving those ulcers a cursory glance and he wants to ask but he's afraid of losing the slow progress they're making here. it can wait.] Besides, it's your room, too. You should get to relax just like the rest of us.

you know? that single sentiment is something that she can get wholly behind and is going to appreciate after her [gestures vaguely]. so, she'll take a moment look at him again and before letting her shoulders drop. ]

[ yeah, he might have already knew but something something personal touch? ]

Right. [and there's a grin once more.] It's nice to meet you. I just got to the room a little while ago, but it looks like everything's been set up for us. Some of your things might be here, and there's fresh towels in the bathroom and stuff. The TV doesn't seem to do much though.

[he explored, but at least he didn't snoop through her things.]

[ guess this means it's time for her to rummage and see what she's been gifted with. or not gifted with... ]

What is on the TV? Is it weird?

[there's an affirmative noise. he doesn't want to say she might find it familiar in case she doesn't, but he's curious.]

It's pretty weird. It's a lot of static, but then the other is this song I've never heard before.

Can I turn on the TV to see?

Yeah, sure. Maybe the channel's changed by now. [and he sits up a little more to get a better look at the tv. turn it on!]

kazoos. honestly? she didn't know what to expect and i didn't either when i clicked the link. ]

I can't say I know the song but...it seems like it could be something familiar.

[suffer as i've suffered. but judging by the face sora's making the channel has not changed since he last checked.]

I haven't asked anybody else yet. I don't even know if we all get the same channels. I was trying to see if I could make out any sort of picture in the static but I've got nothing.
