If we are missing more, they have either withheld it or failed to learn it themselves. It seems their source of information is not the most straightforward.

They made it sound like it was coming from the Realm itself. They're new to this, so maybe the Realm doesn't trust them enough yet. Or they aren't connected to it. But Fox made it seem like we'd know in a couple of days.

Yes, yes, still more waiting... if they continue to ask this of us, they will begin to lose any goodwill that appearing in person has earned them.

[reconnective]

Did they actually earn goodwill with you...? [sora don't be snarky right now.]

[arkitect]

They did not.

[he says that flatly, not needing to stop and think at all.]

[well. he tries not to look like he thinks that response is funny.]

At least we'll have more chances to talk to them during the rest of the week. So it can't be all that bad.

You may be too optimistic, but that remains to be seen. Perhaps the rest of their number will show their faces, as well.

Fox told me it should be next week. So we'll see them, Rabbit and Wolf this week and then we should get to meet the other three then. It sounds like there's still stuff going on at the castle so all six of them can't be here together.

[arkitect]

Of course there is.

[a slight roll of his eyes, there. he'd overheard a bit, and he is definitely still unimpressed.]

Well, perhaps they will be of more use.

Maybe. You saw their data on the PHS didn't you? It's up now. But it's not exactly that helpful either even if it gives us some idea of what they're like.

[arkitect]

The phrases included provide some information, at least, but beyond that... all it truly tells us is the orders of their ages and heights.

Depending on if the quotes are real or not, it could tell us a lot about how they think though. That's the important part.

[arkitect]

It is more insight than we would otherwise have, though in some cases it yet leads me to believe I will not care much for them or their methods.

[for a moment he doesn't reply, though he gives him a level sort of look before it tips into the edge of questioning.]

If not theirs, then what methods would you prefer? [how do you really feel, emet-selch?]

[arkitect]

Well, we do have yet to see what precisely they are. But with the insight we do have-- I doubt I will see eye to eye with all of their number.

[he just shrugs, seemingly not too bothered by that look.]

Do you think you'll see eye to eye with whatever team you're going to be on? [he's definitely asking question he probably shouldn't be asking, but here we are.]

[arkitect]

Without being certain of how they are to be chosen, I doubt anyone could say.

I didn't get to ask Fox about that. But we're going to find out probably tomorrow. Teams are going to be made up of about seven of us each, so that's a lot of people to try and work with.

[...please know that he did not actually do the math, someone else did it for him.] But Fox seemed convinced that a friendly competition was a good idea either way.

More than I would normally care to deal with, certainly, after knowing them for mere days.

[a slight sigh, there, a shake of his head.]

It remains to be seen whether this competition will be of any help, or only a distraction from what we have apparently been consigned to do.

[a part of him also wonders if they're even going to know who their teammates are. their leader will know which team they're on, but what about other people? he doesn't voice that out loud though.]

Do you think the people here will get distracted from the actual goal? The winning team does get a reward.

[arkitect]

One that has, as of yet, no specified parameters or limitations. This presumes both some trust in this reward being capable of what they actually desire of it, not to mention the fact that simply getting home seems to be enough for many.

[emet-selch, for his part, is not so ready to trust in the vague promise of some wish.]

It might change when we know more about how to collect the nova. If we figure out how that works, maybe the wish will make more sense.

[...hm.] So getting home is enough for you, too?

I have little faith in what they have to offer. Everything I have placed it in remains from whence I came.

So you really do believe in some things? That's surprising.
