We’re all suspicious. Until we find something that definitely proves who killed, we’re all suspicious.

Even then...look at what just happened. The evidence we found that matched still didn't point us in the right direction. If people can go around making stuff up, how are we even supposed to find them?

... I wouldn’t have thought Sharon would attack someone, but... I don’t know if I can say I knew her beyond that surface level pleasantness.

Looking at the evidence she definitely held those wires on Thursday night. And... I’ve seen wires used as weapons before.

... maybe we just missed something so big we crippled ourselves from the start?

I'm starting to think the same thing. There must have been something we found and wrote off really easily that would have pointed us to the right person.

[...hm.] If this is going to keep happening, it's just going to get harder, isn't it?

If it’s going to keep happening, then maybe we’ll get better at it.

Although I’m not sure if I like the idea of that.

I definitely don't like the idea of getting better at it if it means more people are going to die. We can't even ask why it was Cater and Sharon because we didn't catch them.

[so how can they plan ahead?]

[ .... they’d all hoped no one would die this week and now look where they are. ]

I wish we knew if it was just random depending on who woke up, or whether people are targeted.

[ ... ]

But then why aren’t people asleep around the Realm killed? In the plaza we were just... lying there. We got injured. We would’ve been easy targets.

...I think it's because the people who are doing this can only pick one person. It would make sense, right? It's like you said, it would have been really easy to hurt everyone who was stuck outside and asleep. Nobody could fight back.

Something must be stopping them.

If we knew what the Realm's idea of rules were, then that might help. And I don't mean what's in the "rulebook". There's obviously more limitations and clauses to people going through with killing than we know - otherwise, yeah.

There would be more bodies this week.

[ they were literally just chilling in the plaza all night, unconscious. ]

Alex, have you talked to your leader about why this is happening? Or has anybody told you what some people have heard?

I've spoken with my leader a bit. I know that... what happened with Virid changed things completely, but-- [ she shrugs. ]

We've probably all heard a lot of things. So you might need to be more specific.

Right now we're pretty sure Virid's leader asked him to kill Hajime. Virid said it had to be her specifically.

... Do we know who Virid's leader is?

[reconnective]

No. Leaders can't tell us who's on whose team, so we have no idea where to even start.

Sharon thought it might be Wolf. When you look at the rankings, Wolf's team is on top.

I said I wasn't sure if that was right, as... well. Wouldn't getting caught and executed count as a team "failure", if that's the word? So we were... [ she pauses at this. ]

We were going to ask our team leaders, and discuss what they told us to see if it matches up. After the rankings are revealed, but... [ but Sharon's dead. ]

I don't know. It doesn't seem like Wolf to outright ask for somebody to cheat like that, but it's not like they could tell us if they did. I wanted to ask one of the others if the rankings are based on the leader who got the most votes or if it's the team that voted most correctly. Even if they're executed, that would generate a ton of nova.

...we'll ask around and see what we can find out. We still have a lot of unanswered questions, and I want to find answers.

If we find out what the rankings represent, that would help. And if it's something like the number of people in a group, then there would be multiple people in "first place" this early on.

[ she nods. ] I'm happy to share what I learn with you, if you like. It's better to get information out there, especially this early on.

[ she's also... tired. of being kept in the dark. ]

Right. It might be a good idea to ask multiple leaders and see if we get the same answer. Right now I'm hearing they're already giving us some conflicting answers on other stuff...but I don't think that's on purpose either.

I'd like that though. Thank you, Alex. [there's a slight smile.] And anything I learn I'll share with you, too. We're all going to have to work together and trade information to figure this out, so I don't mind.

I wonder if you're just more likely to find out more from your leader, rather than another leader. There's still a teams aspect going on here, isn't there?

[ she nods, and smiles back. ] It's better if we're at least all trying to pool as much information as we can, right?

[reconnective]

I don't know. I think they don't mind sharing stuff as long as you know how to ask and if you treat them like normal people. They're just like us, you know?

[maybe not just like them, but...hm. speaking of the leaders though...]

Have you talked to any of the others that were in the second group that disappeared? Won, Xie Lian, Ochako and Chiron.

[chanteuser]

[ she nods. ] I don't have a reason to treat them any differently.

I've... spoken to a couple of them, but not so much about where their group went. Trying to bring it up knowing the sort of stuff that could be involved has been a little... awkward. [ she sighs. ]

It's on my to do list. Why, did they run into anything similar?

[reconnective]

Yeah, I know. [both to not treating npcs differently and to bringing up the subject with the other group.] But I think they don't mind talking about it to a degree to keep everybody updated on what's going on.

And they might want to hear about what happened to us from you, too. [he nods though.] They got split up just like we did, but they were at...a military base, I think? And Won and Xie Lian ended up in this room and had to go through some pretty difficult stuff. Ochako said she got her quirk back for a while.

[chanteuser]

... I wonder if these places are significant to someone here, or if it really is just drawing from anything and everything out there.

[ but she nods ]

I'll speak with them. I want to know, and if they're okay talking about it, it could be a good idea to compare things.

[reconnective]

Maybe. One of the leaders said they're just memories we found ourselves in, but I don't know about the rest.

They didn't seem to mind telling me when I asked, so I think it's okay to see how they feel. We should all check in with each other anyway. [just to be sure people are okay.]

They must come from somewhere. But maybe that somewhere isn't important...? To them, at least.

[ she nods. ] We all took a bit of a beating, didn't we?
