It's not about what's better, it's about what's actually happening. Not everyone here is as good as you are.

I never said that they were, or that I am. [he is good and he won't deny it, but he's not going to go around spouting how righteous he is compared to others.]

...somebody came to me earlier this week and told me they heard from somebody else that there're special jobs involved in this game. Probably six of them. So that's my guess.

.... Well, I know about the jobs. Uh. That might have been me that said that? But I'm not actually sure how many there are, or what they all do. Six just seemed like the safest bet.

It's kind of a boring game, but it's a strategy game. In it, there are six main pieces: a pawn, a rook, a knight, a bishop, a queen and a king.

See where this is going?

... Kind of. I guess the king and queen are really important?

All of the pieces are important in different ways, but as far as I understand if you take your opponent's king, the game's over.

Okay, that makes sense.

Is there a king here, do you think?

Yup. I've met 'em. But I don't think it functions the same way here as it does in the game of chess itself.

Um...that part I don't think I can say. It's not really mine to talk about, you know?

It's like...there are multiple pieces with multiple parts that make up the entire game. But they aren't the most important or anything. They just have privileges, I guess. Does that make sense?

Yeah, kind of. So they each have their own role and special move, but they're.... all kind of equal?

Yeah. In the real game, certain pieces can only move certain ways. In this game, each piece has certain jobs that they can do but they're all equally vulnerable if they make the wrong move.
