[today's a disaster, to be honest, but it doesn't stop sora from wandering the town hoping to find anything that might give them some kind of an answer. unfortunately, he just finds zuko instead.]

[ zuko's out on the bridge, staring at the stars!!!! so pretty. ]

Have you ever seen anything like this?

[stars!! sora...is in the captain's chair and he grins at the question.]

That planet's new, but it feels familiar. When we travel back home, it's just like this. Pretty cool right?

[ straight up fussing until sora gets medical attention!!! wherever he is!! ]

... I know about burns. Let me take a look.

[he's in the lobby!! which means he looks up at zuko curiously. the burns are there and he really should change his clothes but that can wait.]

...you think there's really anything we can do about them?

[this is such a long walk, but surprisingly sora's never actually been out to the docking area. instead, he seems to be wandering to familiarize himself with everything and try to understand what's happening, but it works out because zuko's still here.

...zuko's still here?]

Hey, Zuko. What're you still doing out here?

[ he sure is! he's changed clothes so he's in jammies (space-themed, of course) but he's just... restlessly investigating? ]

... Looking for anything we might have missed.

[ zuko is looking for keyaang!! wheremest is he!! this is the laziest starter but idc ]

[zuko won't have to look too hard, because sora's laying on the beach, sort of just staring at the waves. water is soothing, nature is healing, etc.

he also might not actually hear zuko so. there's that. please come to him.]

[out in town today, sora's on a walk but he nearly runs into zuko instead! but at least he looks pleased to see him.]

[ hey sora!! zuzus a big tangled mess of emotions but he is happy to see you ]

[ after all that... zuko's still on his feet, still looking around for sumi, even though he knows it's pointless. ]

[ the grief and anger is pretty palpable, though. shiro and her both... it's a blow. ]

[ when he sees sora, he just shakes his head. ]

I haven't found anything yet. Have you?

[reconnective]

No. [he's not happy! this is bad! but here they are on the move still searching.] But all we can do is keep looking. Until we get a confirmation, she's not really dead.

[...sure. okay.] What happened with Shiro? Have you heard at all?

[out at the petting zoo today!]

...your fanclub got bigger. [he does nothing to stop these chickens.]

[ zuko is just sighing as he's followed around by chickens ]

[sometimes you just dress up as a cowboy and wander around town not knowing what you're actually looking for. this is how he ends up near the clothing shop and the stables, petting some of the horses as he goes.]

Hey Zuko. [he gets a grin.] How's it going?

[ zuko is also dressed up like a cowboy and he looks ridiculous, so there's that. he's feeding one of the horses. ]

[ just checking things out... ] What are you doing? Just looking around?

[zuko's on a mission, which means that sora's falling right into step with him and immediately looking around.]

...who're we looking for today?

... Hikaru. Xie Lian hasn't seen her.

[ zuko doesn't really know her, but she is a kid, so it's not something he can overlook!! ]

[hewwo zuzu! sora grins a little and nods.]

[he truly hates to bother him when he's sure they're both really sick at the moment, but it bothers him more to think about zuko being alone right now. it's why he eventually untangles himself from clementine and heads for zuko's room, knocking on the door and leaning a little heavily against the door.]

Hey, Zuko. You in there?

[ eventually soo-won will come over, but zuko is zuko alone again... with snakes..... he's, uh, just lying in his bed. ]

... Sora.

[he's here!! and he grins slightly.]

[ zuko's over by the destroyed stalls.... annoyed he can't play them, but he looks up when he sees sora. ]

Hey. How'd it go?

[ does he mean investigation or swan murder or both... ]

About as well as expected. [which is also an answer to both.] Kinda had to scale back on what we were investigating because a dolphin almost shot us, but it's no big eel.
