There was a message about the subjects failing the experiments being run. That was part of the memory we were going through. But there was the message from the last monster we fought about destiny.
[ah. his eyes narrow a bit, and he decides to fill in the blanks.]
"Do you believe you can change destiny? Time has already been written. There's nothing you can do, is there? Except try, try again. But you'll never make it. Not yet. But remember, this is your last chance."
Oh. The other was just about the experimentation subjects and some of the monsters that failed despite the injection of this serum. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but then I talked to Ochako. She said they had to use these serums on members of the other group and it turned them into monsters, too.
I didn't think there was much about the two places that were related, but that one sticks out.
It sounded like it wasn't as stable as what the lab wanted on our end. And if injecting it turned Won and Xie Lian into vicious monsters themselves...probably not.
But we don't know what the intention was in the first place either.
Nope. It was across the bridge, I guess, but it's gone now. I thought about going back but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I think it's blocked forever now.

[ He recites carefully, recalling it from memory. ]
That is the one I am aware of.

That was the whole thing that monster said to us.

What of the other?

[ Welp, this is going places. ]
That it does. I wonder if the serum worked as intended.

You are correct. 'Twould be only conjecture from here on, and we have no way of returning to where it all happened.
Or so I presume.
