Whoa. Sounds like it took a while to get really good at it. [and that he spent a lot of time with cap.] Our training wasn't that long, and most of it was improvised anyway. But I guess our missions would've been a little different.
Fighting a bunch of monsters and locking the hearts of several worlds mostly, so most of what we did we learned on the move. [he says all of this with a straight face.] Plus whatever people needed help with at the time. We've done escort missions and rescue missions before, too.
It's what it sounds like. [this explains nothing.] It's...basically, the keyhole is protecting the heart of each world. If monsters get into the keyhole and destroy the heart of the world, the world will be consumed by darkness and disappear. Locking the heart stops people from getting in and protects the world.
You get used to it. [he shrugs right back.] But maybe that's why this place really doesn't bother me that much. As long as we focus on getting our memories back, then everything else we can handle.
All sorts of ways. Sometimes it's 'cause you get frozen in ice for a long time. Sometimes you get beaten within an inch of your life and get some magic drug injection that revives you. Sometimes you make a wish on an all-powerful cube. Sometimes your...brain gets transported to some awful dimension and you've gotta fight to get back to your body?
Honestly I'm not really sure what happened in that last case.
Suddenly I understand how people feel when I try to tell them anything about my life. [what the hell.] But the point is there's always a way back. Right? So we have to focus on that, too.

...except for "locking the hearts of worlds." Whatever the hell that is.

Make sense?

About as much as anything else we had to deal with.

I figured bringing the dead back was obvious without saying it.

[ forgive him for being skeptical, right now he doesn't remember himself or his friends all dying and coming back to life multiple times ]

anyway, he sighs ]
...well, done it once, we can do it again. Somehow.

Might as well, I guess. Better to go out swinging than on your knees, after all.

Keep fighting the good fight and all that. Just as long as the others don't give up, too? Should be fine.
