[we're gonna make this the inn to make it easier! that is to say, sora's running around outside and his makeshift bandages are probably coming loose (and he's also probably still in his pajamas like a smart person), but when he comes back to the inn it's with the intention of checking on everyone he can.

which is why when he sees someone familiar he has no problem wandering up to him. it's maybe a little closer than he's expecting but sora's still out of reach enough for comfort. he Remembers last week.]

Guess you were right. It was a good thing to have those rules in place.

[ Vezda is sitting there with his head in his arms, but looks up when he hears Sora approaching. ]

Pfft. Yeah. I wasn't expecting us to need them again so soon, though.

[reconnective]

Me either. [he will have a seat nearby.] But at least we know what to do tomorrow. That's...a good thing, right?

[...maybe.] Were you out looking this morning with everybody else?

[frostythehitman]

Yeah. I was checking some of the rooms in the space station.

[reconnective]

We stuck around town. What'd you guys find out there?

[frostythehitman]

A container of lye. A bloody labcoat. Some hair. [ Dragging his hand down his face: ] Bloody surgical tools.

[reconnective]

We found hair, too, over in the emporium. And a bloody t-shirt. [...] But bloody surgical tools isn't really too promising.

[big ol' yikes!] What's lye?

w3 wednesday

[wednesday has already been a very long day for a variety of reasons, but after a slew of dinosaur adventures sora finds himself wandering the village to take a break. on the other hand, he'll never say no to talking to someone he recognizes, and as he spots vezda ahead he walks a little quicker to approach.]

What do you think? Better or worse than last week?

[frostythehitman]

What, the location? [ He shrugs. ] About the same as last week. Better food here, but I could do without the whole "going blind or deaf or not feeling anything" thing all the time.

[reconnective]

I can't think of many people who're happy about that. [he raises an eyebrow.] Is your loss or whatever changing? Or do you just mean in general?

[frostythehitman]

Yup. Monday I couldn't smell. Yesterday I couldn't see. Today I don't have any sense of touch. Which apparently means no pain either.

Got bitten by a dinosaur earlier and didn't even notice it until a while later.

[reconnective]

On the one hand that's probably a good thing because that sounds really painful. On the other hand, that's probably bad and please tell me you got that looked at already.

[ waves a hand dismissively ]

Yeah, yeah, I hit up first aid earlier. If nothing else, not feeling pain made it a hell of a lot easier to disinfect. We'll see if it holds, though. I don't know how to treat dino bites--I've only fought them once before, and I didn't get bitten that time.

W4 Saturday

[reconnective]

[at some point Sora will make his way back to where vezda is being held, more or less letting himself in with a plate in his hand. it looks like some sort of warm meal given the steam rising from it, and as he approaches he sets it on the ground before having a seat next to it.]

Barrier's up, but when I leave one of the leaders should be able to get that to you.

[frostythehitman]

Damn, I even got a last meal that's nice and hot? This really is a classic style execution.

[reconnective]

Figured it's the least I could do. I wasn't sure what you'd like so...you know. [beef it is]

Is it a dumb question to ask how you're doing?

[frostythehitman]

It's hot and it's meat. I'm sure it'll be fine.

As for how I'm doing...not too bad. This back room's pretty comfy, better than a jail cell.

[reconnective]

Spent a lot of times in jail cells, Vezda? [he leans back on his hands. ] Those three will make sure you're as comfortable as possible until tomorrow. But nice to know you're taking this better than others.

[frostythehitman]

Just a few times.

...how did others take it? I didn't really bother visiting people who were going to get executed before, other than Emet-Selch last week.

[well the dead are back and all is well which means sora's on his way out of the kitchen with what looks like a whole-ass cake? where did he get that? either way, he's on his way out and as he's going he spots bucky instead.]

...want a slice? To celebrate.

[ He blinks in surprise at the cake. ]

Did you just have that ready?

[reconnective]

[it gets a laugh at least.]

What can I say? I work fast. [which considering it smells like it just came out of the oven he's completely serious.] It's probably one of the last days here so I thought it'd be nice for whoever was around and wanted a break. Everybody likes food.

You just. Spontaneously baked a cake. Lup mentioned there was some kind of boss battle, you weren't busy with that instead?

[reconnective]

Wouldn't be the first time I've made food before, during or after a battle. [thanks kh3.] How long do you think it takes to bake a cake?

Hell if I know. I don't do a whole lot of cooking. Or baking.
