[he ought to check on claude, too, considering he got bit by a squirrel but he's worried about hilda given she's the one who saw the body from afar. he's not sure what any of them were expecting when they woke up this morning but he's pretty sure it wasn't this.
that's why after a short time, he goes to seek her out and won't stop looking until he comes across her. where are you, hilda?]
[ Hilda should probably be sleeping the whole affair off in her room, but he'll find her over in the emporium instead.
And all things considered, she's looking composed, trying on a pair of shades and peering at herself in a mirror, mouth twisted a little in apparent thought.
He'll see her blink in her reflection, then smile. ]
[huh. well she seems to be handling things okay, but he's giving her a slight smile right back.]
Just browsing I guess. It's been a really long day and it's not even noon yet. [probably. he should..ask...but he will Wait and feel her out first.] Find anything good?
I don't know. The star ones are kind of cute. [he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pair of yellow star ones to show her? but he also looks back at the wall of shades before them.]
I guess you're right though. I always feel a little better when I get new things, too. [alternatively, sometimes he whines when he's not given new things.] ...is it helping right now?
[back over on the space side of things, sora finds himself once again approaching the vr room. he's curious to see what else he can generate on his own, but it seems like somebody's beat him to it. he doesn't say anything immediately until he's close enough to approach, lifting a hand to wave and get her attention.]
Hey Hilda! What're you up to? [do FEs know how this thing works, we're gonna find out.]
[ hello i am never relying on plurk for anything again. anyway, she's looking at the tablet and does not understand much at all, no. but at least this time she kind of has experience with the PHS—she's just wary enough not to press anything blindly. ]
Hey, Sora. [ she smiles, pleasant but a little helpless. ] Thought I'd try and get this room to work for me, but I'm not sure how...
[i'm losing it nu. but anyway, indeed. sora's going to hover behind her and also glance at the touchpad thing before he grins again.]
It's kind of confusing at first. I had to have someone show me, too. Everything looks so real though when you get it to work that it's almost worth the trouble.
[more than worth it. also, he's equally technologically challenged, but:] I could show you how to do it if you want? I wanted to see what else I could come up with anyway.
I'm sure your room's fine. [he's so sincere about it it's almost painful. but he approaches the touchpad and begins to hit a few things, thinking really, really hard for a moment.]
Okay. Let me go in first so it can read my brain or whatever. And then you should be able to come in.
[he grins at her and immediately bounds into the room, shutting the door just a bit.
...except he sticks his head back out again.] You're not scared of heights, are you?
[he doesn't seem to mind he's crouched down in the water poking around for crabs, but when he sees hilda he sort of just. drops the crab in his hand on the dock nearby before pulling himself out of the ocean.]
Always. What's up? [i am going to say they aren't close enough for emotion-sharing yet mostly because he's also wet and ocean-y.]
[ She carefully eludes the crabs already on the deck to scoot a little closer so they don't have to yell or anything, though she's grateful for the distance. ]
I wish I could say it was something fun, but... I've been talking to Claude, and he might have mentioned you know a little about Virid.
[ She smiles a little, though it's weak. ]
Sorry—he didn't tell me more than that, so your secrets are safe. But that whole thing has really been nagging at me. So I was wondering if we could chat.
[ Yeah, Claude's a good friend to have. She sits, carefully dusting off any sand from the docks before she does so. ]
Do you... know why he did it? I've been trying to understand, and it just doesn't make sense. Even if it's a competition, even if maybe he was more cold-blooded than we thought—something just isn't right, you know?
[ after the investigation, hilda is also out looking for sumire, though as the sky starts to get darker... well, she didn't have much hope in finding her anyway.
she trots over when she spots sora doing much of the same. also, she kind of smells like a barn? just sprinkling that in there, i guess ]
[luckily for hilda (maybe) sora doesn't seem to mind the smell! probably because he cannot smell anything currently. but he offers her a tired smile in return.]
Nothing. I'm running out of places to look, but I don't want to quit yet.
[ hilda is not exactly the type to go galavanting around for no reason, but with all the jewelry she's making lately, she does need supplies... and is a little lacking in people to send to go get them. so here she is, looting what is almost definitely a haunted manor.
she's not scared witless or anything, but the dreary creakiness is enough to put anyone on edge.
—speaking of creaking, was that a noise over there? ]
[rip in hilda and only hilda. as she's making her way through the spooky manor, she may in fact hear some creaking. it's slow and steady, almost as if it's following her?
...but yeah. when she turns around to look, there's nothing there. it's when she's facing the front again that she'll find one (1) baby vampire thing jumping out from behind a chair, and almost taking out one of the floorboards.]
[luckily for him, he has fast enough reflexes he manages to avoid getting decked straight in the face. on the other hand, she definitely slams her hand straight into his shoulder instead and there's a yelp of surprise like he's not the one responsible for this.]
w0 friday

[ It's tacky and not her style at all. But she puts on a pair of star-shaped sunglasses anyway. ]
But I always feel better when I'm trying on something new. You should give it a go.
[ She figures everyone's pretty... affected right now. ]

Sure—I'd love to take a peek behind the curtain. If I did it, it'd probably just show how messy my room is.
[ nothing is going to be as crazy as kingdom hearts, anyway. ]

Oh yeah? [he doesn't seem at all surprised, but he nods in agreement.] He's pretty good at not sharing more than necessary, huh?
[that aside, he seems to focus.] What do you want to know about it? I'll try to answer everything I can.
