...not really. [THE SADDEST POUT IN THE WORLD.] But it'll stop eventually, right?

I don't know? I think something's wrong but...[uggggh.] I woke up like this but it's just kind of annoying.

You should get some rest in a more comfortable spot than the road. Come.

[ Alphinaud offers a hand ]

Think you can walk?

Nooo more shocking. [the no touch rule sucks so bad. he's staring at alphinaud's hand though because it's tempting. he makes no moves to get up.] But I can walk just fine. Do we really have to leave? I'm trying to understand what we saw today.

[arcsplainist]

[ sighs because I keep forgetting about the freaking. zappy. cries.

And I guess so does Alphinaud. He pulls back his hand with a quiet, exasperated sigh. ]

If you are not feeling well, I don't think you need to remain here to further mull on your findings.

[it's okay, he's slowly but steadily getting to his feet with only a tiny wobble before he grins.]

I'll be okay...I'm just trying to figure out how they managed to get to Raven. They didn't even touch the rest of us.

... Where had you been last night?

[reconnective]

Over there. [he points directly at the pub.] There were like seven of us there, including Raven. Or whatever his name is now? I'm not sure.

[arcsplainist]

There— there had been seven of you present, and not one of you had been roused from an attack?

[reconnective]

No. Not that I know of. We slept through all of it just like people have said.

[arcsplainist]

'Tis unnatural the way we sleep through it all. But it is also telling that these killings must be targeted.

[reconnective]

Yeah. It's...if this is like some of the others, Raven's nova must've been splintering apart and someone was told to kill him. But I dunno.

It's very confusing, Alphinaud. Like...bad.

[arcsplainist]

[ aight hold the fun bus up ]

[reconnective]

Yeah. Like...[he holds up both of his hands so they're gripping each other before pulling them apart and making a crackling sort of noise.]

Supposedly people's nova can begin to splinter and if it's not taken care of, the consequences would be even worse.

[arcsplainist]

[ oh. hello?? ]

And by "taken care of", you mean disposed of.

[reconnective]

Right. Virid was asked to kill Hajime, so the theory now is that people are being asked to take out people they find the nova to be splintering from.

[arcsplainist]

By the Twelve... Do any of us know who is doing the asking?

[reconnective]

According to my Leader, only someone else's Leader could ask them to do something like that. I don't know how many people know but s'worth asking yours...if they know anything about it.

[arcsplainist]

[ he frowns ]

Good. They're here to help us, and we can't help them much if we don't know what we're doing. Especially with a monster on the loose somewhere, too. We need to start figuring out a plan.

[arcsplainist]

'Tis nigh time we do, and best done as quickly as we can. Pray inform me if you discover anything else of import; I shall endeavor to return the favor.

Yeah, I will. It's the splintering thing that matters most right now. I think that's the biggest mystery we have...nobody knows how it happens and if they do know they aren't saying so.

[arcsplainist]

Someway, somehow, I will find out, for the longer we go without knowing, the more that will die in the coming weeks. I cannot allow more lives to be lost like this.
