[was alphinaud having an okay day? maybe he was just taking a nice stroll around the northern area in the pirate town, but he may want to watch his step because if he doesn't he's likely to trip over a pair of legs sticking out in the center of the path. there's also, like, a body attached to that pair of legs that seems to be kind of awkwardly propped up against the side of a house but hm.

[ Well two people died but yeah it's been okay. Alphinaud is indeed around, looking for faces he knows, when yes, he stumbles upon an unexpected pair of legs.

And very nearly falls!! ]

[reconnective]

[alphy noooooo. i definitely set this up but noooo. alphinaud stumbles and the legs kind of kick out, a whine following as sora sits up from where he's just laying on the ground.]

Heyyy. Watch it. [he says, as if this isn't his fault. give him a second to squint though before he grins suddenly.]

Alphinaud, hey! [he tries to sit up but...give him a second.] Where're you headed?

[arcsplainist]

[ After making a strangled noise and somehow regaining his footing, Alphinaud whips around. ]

—Sora? Why are you... Are you all right?

[reconnective]

Yeah...I think so? [he frowns a little like he's not sure.] The road started moving again, so I was waiting for it to stop.

[arcsplainist]

[ Alphinaud kneels down before him. ]

And... has it?

[reconnective]

...not really. [THE SADDEST POUT IN THE WORLD.] But it'll stop eventually, right?

[arcsplainist]

[ he's already so tired ]

We should not wait, I'd say. Are you certain you're feeling as usual?

[reconnective]

I don't know? I think something's wrong but...[uggggh.] I woke up like this but it's just kind of annoying.

[arcsplainist]

[ ... hmmmm ]

You should get some rest in a more comfortable spot than the road. Come.

[ Alphinaud offers a hand ]

Think you can walk?

[reconnective]

Nooo more shocking. [the no touch rule sucks so bad. he's staring at alphinaud's hand though because it's tempting. he makes no moves to get up.] But I can walk just fine. Do we really have to leave? I'm trying to understand what we saw today.

[arcsplainist]

[ sighs because I keep forgetting about the freaking. zappy. cries.

And I guess so does Alphinaud. He pulls back his hand with a quiet, exasperated sigh. ]

If you are not feeling well, I don't think you need to remain here to further mull on your findings.

[reconnective]

[it's okay, he's slowly but steadily getting to his feet with only a tiny wobble before he grins.]

I'll be okay...I'm just trying to figure out how they managed to get to Raven. They didn't even touch the rest of us.

[arcsplainist]

... Where had you been last night?

[reconnective]

Over there. [he points directly at the pub.] There were like seven of us there, including Raven. Or whatever his name is now? I'm not sure.

[arcsplainist]

There— there had been seven of you present, and not one of you had been roused from an attack?

[reconnective]

No. Not that I know of. We slept through all of it just like people have said.

[arcsplainist]

[ w t f ]

'Tis unnatural the way we sleep through it all. But it is also telling that these killings must be targeted.

[reconnective]

Yeah. It's...if this is like some of the others, Raven's nova must've been splintering apart and someone was told to kill him. But I dunno.

It's very confusing, Alphinaud. Like...bad.

[arcsplainist]

[ aight hold the fun bus up ]

A moment. Splintering?

[reconnective]

Yeah. Like...[he holds up both of his hands so they're gripping each other before pulling them apart and making a crackling sort of noise.]

Supposedly people's nova can begin to splinter and if it's not taken care of, the consequences would be even worse.

[arcsplainist]

[ oh. hello?? ]

And by "taken care of", you mean disposed of.

[reconnective]

Right. Virid was asked to kill Hajime, so the theory now is that people are being asked to take out people they find the nova to be splintering from.

[arcsplainist]

By the Twelve... Do any of us know who is doing the asking?

[reconnective]

According to my Leader, only someone else's Leader could ask them to do something like that. I don't know how many people know but s'worth asking yours...if they know anything about it.
